Drake is still on that championship high.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper opened up his recent concert in Toronto with a gigantic Larry O' Brien Trophy — or Larry OB as Kawhi Leonard likes to call it — to honor the Raptors' championship victory this past season:

Drake is probably going to celebrate this title all summer long.

It feels like it has been forever since the Raptors won their first-ever NBA championship. But in reality, it was just two months ago.

A lot has happened over those crazy two months with free agency shaking up the league in a frenzy. Several players changed addresses and are already preparing for next season, including Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, who went home to play for the Los Angeles Clippers. As much as they love Leonard for leading them to the height that no other Raptor has ever done, his departure has to sting.

Nevertheless, Raps fans are still appreciative of their Finals MVP for giving it his all during their championship run. Likewise, the euphoria that die-hard Toronto fans felt when their beloved Raptors finally won the big one can never be taken away from them.

The Raptors will still be a competitive team next season with Most Improved Player Pascal Siakam taking the reigns. Their veteran core of Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol, and Serge Ibaka is still intact. But, obviously, they are no longer prohibitive favorites to repeat as champions with a superstar like Leonard no longer there to lead the way.

That will not stop Drake and Raptors Nation from celebrating their 2019 championship for as long as they please.
