It seems that right before the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs game started, Kawhi Leonard tried to listen in on a conversation between the whispers of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowy.

It's been well-documented that DeRozan and Lowry are best of friends. When the Raptors decided to move on DeRozan, Lowry was devastated. Over the years, they developed a friendship and they loved each other like brothers.

Lowry told Rachel Nichols of ESPN's the Jump that he felt betrayed:

“I felt betrayed because he felt betrayed because that’s my guy, that’s my best friend. So yeah, I felt some type of way on a personal side. It’s a harsh business. It’s a great business, but sometimes moves are made that you’re like, ‘Ugh, wow, that sucks.'”

The two all-stars first teamed up in 2012 and then led the Raptors to five consecutive playoff appearances. They weren’t really that close in their first year together, but they actually became friends in their second year of being teammates, via The Canadian Press.

Lowry has turned into the full-time playmaker for the Raptors. He's averaging 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the field and 32.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Leonard has been an effective scorer for Toronto, averaging 27.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from deep. He's an MVP candidate and has been carrying the Raptors all season long.

DeRozan has found a new niche with the Spurs. He's completely abandoned his poor three-point shot and focused on scoring in the paint. His pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop game have really gelled with Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge. He's averaging 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists while shooting 47.7 percent from the field, a career high.
