The Toronto Raptors celebrated their first NBA title in franchise history with a parade through the streets of downtown Toronto on Monday morning. During the celebration, Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry was asked to comment on the response that he and his teammates received from the crowd in attendance. In his reply, Lowry had words of encouragement for next season.

“What is your impression of the response from the people of Toronto?” a reporter asked Lowry during a brief stop in the parade.

“This is why we wanted to win a championship,” Lowry said, shaking his head in approval. “This is unbelievable, and we ain't even close to being done.”

Though he's heard his fair share of criticism over the years, Lowry played well in the Finals. In fact, he scored the first eight points of Game 6, finishing with 26 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds, and three steals.

Lowry, who wore Damon Stoudamire's jersey during Monday's parade, is the longest tenured member of the Raptors. He and his teammates were close to reaching the Finals for several years, but for whatever reason, they failed to make it to the NBA's biggest stage. Now, with Kawhi Leonard onboard, they've made it to the proverbial mountain top, and it's time to celebrate in Toronto.
