After the Toronto Raptors won the championship, a Toronto fan ripped a large tree-like plant and carried it around the streets of downtown, calling it a “housewarming gift” for Raptors superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard.

The fan was finally able to deliver that housewarming gift to Leonard at the Raptors' championship parade on Monday.

This is awesome. This particular fan went viral after the Raptors won the title over the Golden State Warriors, as everyone wanted to know why he was carrying around a plant. If Leonard ends up re-signing with the Raptors this summer, it will be interesting to see if the star puts that infamous plant in his house somewhere.

In just one season, Leonard has become a legend in Toronto. He took the team to a place they've never been before. It's remarkable how much can change in a year. This time last year, Leonard was still recovering from his quadriceps injury with the San Antonio Spurs and looked to leave the team. Fast forward to today, and Leonard is on top of the basketball world.

Fans obviously want Kawhi to stay in Toronto, but even if he leaves in free-agency, he'll always be a hero in Canada.
