Remember, kids. Always take your special someone back to home to meet the folks. That's what Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka just did.

The newly-crowned NBA champ brought the Larry O'Brien trophy  — or the Larry O.B. as Kawhi Leonard likes to call it — to his native land of Congo and shared a special championship meal with the love of his life.

Ibaka is probably going to celebrate this championship win all summer long.

Several Raptors players have taken their turns in borrowing the Larry O.B. Now it's Ibaka's turn to have some alone time with it.

It seemed like the Raptors didn't even have a full summer to celebrate their title win when Leonard bolted Toronto and went to his hometown Los Angeles to sign with the Clippers. Still, that is not going to stop the entire country of Canada from partying and celebrating their championship victory.

Technically, the Raptors will still enter the 2019-20 season as the defending champions. However, their hopes to repeat basically went down the drain as soon as Leonard announced that he was signing with the Clippers.

Nevertheless, Toronto should still be among the middle-tier teams in the East. The Raptors went 17-5 without Kawhi who was under load management for the 2018-19 regular season.

Most Improved Player Pascal Siakam will now take on a much bigger role and is expected to be the primary offensive threat for the defending champs. Likewise, they still have a savvy group of veterans such as Ibaka, Kyle Lowry and Marc Gasol, as well as up-and-comers like Fred VanVleet and O.G. Anunoby who will both take much bigger responsibilities this 2019-20 campaign.
