Rare rookie cards of both Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James are expected to fetch a whopping $5 million at Goldin Auctions, per TMZ Sports.

The card of Brady is reportedly a 2000 Playoff Contenders #144 Signed Championship Ticket Rookie which is only 1 of 100 cards made in the world. It was graded an 8.5 by Beckett but the embedded autograph was given a perfect 10 rating for its pristine condition.

In addition to being the “Holy Grail” of football cards, Tom Brady's memorabilia are expected to skyrocket especially after the Buccaneers successfully won Super Bowl LV where the quarterback notched his fifth Super Bowl MVP award.

As for the card of the four-time NBA MVP, it is reportedly a 2003-04 Upper Deck “Exquisite Collection” Exquisite Rookie Patch Autograph card which is only 1 of 99 cards produced. It includes his signature and an NBA logo patch from a jersey he wore during his rookie season which garnered a 9 rating from Beckett.

The starting bid is only at $500,000 but each card is expected to reach $2.5 million and beyond. With how the two veteran stars are playing at this stage in their respective careers, it doesn't come off as a surprise that avid sports collectors are willing to pay a hefty price just to get their hands on those rare rookie cards.

Meanwhile, for some, the cards will only serve as valuable investments as the prices are expected to go up even more once the two stars finally announce their retirement in the coming years.
