The Baltimore Ravens traded for Yannick Ngakoue earlier this week, but the trade rumors are still circling as several stories have linked them to another wide receiver before the trade deadline.

With the news of the expected Dez Bryant signing and whispers of the Ravens potentially being interested in Antonio Brown, the common theme is that the Baltimore front office wants to equip Lamar Jackson with another weapon.

On the daily Locked On Ravens podcast, Kevin Oestreicher was joined by Matthew Stephens to discuss possible trade targets for the Ravens. His answer describes a perfect fit, Brandin Cooks.

Stephens: One guy that I’m super interested in is Brandin Cooks. I don’t necessarily like him on the Texans. I don’t think he quite fits the role they need him to go out there and be DeAndre Hopkins’ replacement, but in Baltimore he would make a great addition opposite of Marquise Brown. He’s got the speed clearly. He’s a guy that can play physically when they need him to and he certainly has the stats behind him in terms of his history so you know that he can produce. You know he’s a thousand-yard wide receiver on the right offense. You know for that matter, 367 yards and two touchdowns right now in 2020 in a Houston offense that is just not doing well for a variety of different reasons.

You bring him in here and though Baltimore is not the best offense for a wide receiver either, but that’s a guy that could fit a lot of the boxes personnel-wise in Baltimore as both the cap space issue and the draft capital issue.
