The Baltimore Ravens found out about the Earl Thomas domestic situation the same time everyone else did according to a statement released by the team.

“We became aware of the situation when we read and saw it on the reports late last night and early this morning,” the statement said.

On Wednesday night, Thomas shared a video on Instagram saying that there would be a story coming out from TMZ that involved him and his wife A little while later, TMZ did release the article detailing a scary incident between Thomas and his wife Nina.

According to court documents, the Austin, Texas, police were called to a home on April 13 at 3:41 a.m. When the cops showed up they found Nina chasing around Earl Thomas with a knife.

According to Nina Thomas, Earl had left earlier in the day after being picked up his brother Seth Thomas. Nina said she decided to check on his whereabouts via his Snapchat account and found a video of the Ravens safety with another woman.

She used the location tracker on Snapchat to find Thomas at a nearby Airbnb rental. She called two other women to help confront Thomas. Nina said she had grabbed Earl's handgun to try and scare him. When Nina arrived she found Thomas in bed naked with other women and pointed the gun at his head. Thomas was able to wrestle the gun away from his wife.

It will be interesting to see if Ravens have anything else to say about the incident, but cheating on someone isn't really a reason for punishment or releasing from a team.
