As the Baltimore Ravens are currently preparing for their upcoming Week 4 road clash with the Denver Broncos, there is now a bit of early concern regarding quarterback Lamar Jackson's recent injury.

Jackson missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday due to what is being tabbed as “a little back flare-up” by Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman.

“I don’t think it’s anything serious,” Roman said on Thursday. “But we’re just going to have to kind of wait and see. I think he’s going to be in good shape. We’ll wait and see.”

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport further added that Jackson's minor back injury is simply “general soreness.” For the moment, there is no major concern over whether he may be ruled out for the Ravens' upcoming matchup against the 3-0 Broncos.

Jackson had a hefty workload in the Ravens' dramatic road win over the Detroit Lions in Week 3. He threw the football 31 times and had seven carries for 58 rushing yards. The 2019 NFL MVP winner also completed a crucial fourth down pass in the fourth quarter that set up Justin Tucker’s NFL record and game-winning 66-yard field goal in the final seconds of the contest.

For now, it remains to be seen on whether Jackson will be a full-go for the Ravens' scheduled practice session on Friday. This may play a pivotal role in whether the Ravens will give him the green light to start in Week 4 against Denver.

It would be noteworthy if Baltimore elects to keep Jackson out this Sunday, especially as he has only missed a mere two games in his four-year career so far in the league.
