The Baltimore Ravens have had their work cut out against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14. Regardless of the result, this will go down as a historic game for them.

It is no secret that Baltimore's offense has been a force to be reckoned with in the 2019 NFL season. They have now become the highest-scoring offense in franchise history, via Jeff Zreibec of The Athletic:

With that TD, Ravens have set a franchise record for points in a season. They now have 416. Previous record was 409, set in 2014.

Baltimore has always been known for featuring a dominant defense while the offense took a backseat to their success. It is safe to say that it is the dawn of a new era with quarterback Lamar Jackson in town.

Head coach John Harbaugh opted to switch things up on offense by fine-tuning the scheme around Jackson's skill set in the offseason. Their new approach has undoubtedly paid huge dividends for both his individual development and the offense as a whole.

Rather than shying away from their roots as a run-heavy team, they have instead strengthened it thanks to the versatility under center. As a result, they are the best rushing team in the NFL by far with over 200 yards per game on the ground. Meanwhile, Jackson joined Michael Vick as the only quarterback to ever rush for 1,000 yards in a single season.

More importantly, this approach has led them to impressive victories over some of the best teams in the NFL. It will be interesting to see if their newfound success on offense translates into the playoffs.
