When it rains, it pours. The Baltimore Ravens set a new franchise record on Sunday in their Week 1 NFL kickoff weekend matchup with the poor Miami Dolphins.

With backup quarterback Robert Griffin III in the ball game, the former Heisman Trophy winner found Mark Andrew for a three-yard touchdown reception. A successful extra point gave the Ravens 59 points—a new franchise record.

Starting quarterback Lamar Jackson brought the party to South Beach with five passing touchdowns before the Dolphins waved the white flag and Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh yanked the 2018 draft's first-round selection. Running back Mark Ingram contributed two rushing touchdowns, too, pushing the score into the 50's—with a 34-yard Justin Tucker field goal helping the team's cause for record breaking.

It's unclear if the Ravens' offense is this dominant or what we witnessed on Sunday afternoon for a product of Miami's absolute tear down of a season.

It looks like the Dolphins will be content with letting the 2019 season run past them as they look for a new savior in the 2020 draft (Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa, maybe?). Miami had veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick under center starting at quarterback while second-year QB Josh Rosen began the game on the bench.

With the large margin, the Fins eventually saw action for Rosen, who they acquired prior to the draft from the Arizona Cardinals, owners of the first overall pick.

Nevertheless, Harbaugh and the Ravens will head into Week 2 against the Cardinals extremely confident in the state of their offense under second-year shot-caller Jackson.
