The Baltimore Ravens are going through OTAs without Lamar Jackson. The former MVP is not too pleased with his current team over his lack of a contract extension and offseason roster moves. With just one more season left on Jackson's contract, it is a worrisome sign that he and the team aren't seeing eye-to-eye on an extension.

In the wake of Jackson's absence, the Ravens announced that they signed veteran quarterback Brett Hundley.

Hundley spent last season with the Indianapolis Colts but didn't appear in any games. He appeared in 11 games with the Packers in 2017, throwing for 1,836 yards, 12 interceptions and nine touchdowns. Baltimore also has Tyler Huntley and Anthony Brown in its QB room.

The Ravens certainly have no plans to prop Hundley up as a player who could make Jackson's spot on the depth chart. Still, they are playing hardball with their star quarterback. Despite having a poor 2021 season, Jackson is massively important to the team's future and chances at winning a Super Bowl.

Baltimore traded one of Jackson's favorite teammates, Marquise Brown, for rookie center Tyler Linderbaum and signed tackle Morgan Moses. Still the Ravens have to find another key wide receiver. Jackson's frustrations with the front office can be resolved partly by fidning him a high-progile wideout. The contract dispute remains the big one, though. Without a new deal, it's possible that Jackson's days in the purple, black and white are numbered.
