Alex Smith has battled his way back for the Washington Football Team and Matt Skura has done the same for the Baltimore Ravens. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Skura has been removed from the PUP list and is cleared to practice with the team.

Last season, in a Week 12 bout versus the Los Angeles Rams, the Ravens would easily win the game by the score of 45-6. However, amid Baltimore's impressive victory, Skura would suffer a devastating knee injury. The former undrafted free agent out of Duke would be carted off and his season came to a screeching halt.

Altogether, Skura tore his ACL, MCL, and his PCL. Not to mention, he also dislocated his knee cap, giving him a long road to recovery in the months after his injury.

Amid Skura's time being sidelined last season, Bradley Bozeman replaced him as the starting center. Nevertheless, less than a year after his unfortunate injury, Skura could return to his starting spot for the Ravens.

Skura began his career with Baltimore in 2016 after signing with them as an undrafted rookie. Then, being released practice in 2016, Skura became the starting center for the Ravens in 2017. In the past three seasons, Skura has started in 39 games on Baltimore's offensive line.

Earlier this offseason, Marshal Yanda announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 years with the Ravens. Therefore, having no Skura could have left Baltimore shorthanded in the interior of their offensive line. But despite the odds being against him, Skura is going to be practicing with the team as soon as Monday.
