One of the Baltimore Ravens' biggest offseason acquisitions is set to miss a considerable amount of time after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals. After signing a three-year deal with the team in the offseason, Danny Woodhead won't be back on the field for the Ravens for quite some time.

According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Woodhead has been placed on the injured reserve list.

The Baltimore Ravens placed running back Danny Woodhead on injured reserve Thursday and signed Jeremy Langford off their practice squad.

Woodhead looked as if he was quickly becoming quarterback Joe Flacco's favorite target in the Ravens' offense in Week 1. The 32-year-old veteran caught three passes for 33 yards before going down with the injury which will likely sideline him for at least half the season.

With Woodhead out of commission, Flacco and company turned to another new addition to the receiving corps in Jeremy Maclin. The former Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs wideout caught two passes for a team-high 54 yards and a touchdown. Maclin could have a larger role with Woodhead now on the injured reserve list.

It wasn't the best day for Flacco in the passing game with the quarterback completing only nine passes on 17 attempts. The veteran gunslinger finished with 121 yards, one touchdown, and one interception as the Ravens went on to beat the Bengals, 20-0.
