The Baltimore Ravens are set to host the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional Round. It appears they are still hoping running back Mark Ingram can return to practice at some point before then.

Ingram is still nursing a calf injury he suffered during the Week 16 win over the Cleveland Browns. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman said he is still listed as day-to-day, via the team's official Twitter:

“It's day-to-day, so we'll see,” Roman said.”That's how it is in this league, you just got to be ready to adapt and adjust as it happens.”

There previously was confidence expressed by Ingram that he would be good to go by the time playoffs rolled around. Although the stellar 14-2 finish granted Baltimore with an extra week of rest due to the bye, the game being held a day earlier than usual on a Saturday certainly does not do him any favors.

The impact Ingram provided the Ravens when coupled with Lamar Jackson was key in mounting the NFL's best rushing attack this season. Jackson ran for 1,028 yards on 5.0 yards per carry while scoring a franchise-record 15 total touchdowns en route to Pro Bowl honors for the third time.

There is no question that the prospect of Mark Ingram's absence would deal a crushing blow to the Ravens' ground game. If he is unable to play, Gus Edwards will be tasked with the starting job. Edwards did a solid job of filling in for Ingram by rushing for a career-high 130 yards in the season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
