It is no secret that Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is not too fond of quarterbacks. However, it appears Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson may be one of the few exceptions.

Jackson is coming off a promising 2018 NFL season. According to Ryan Mink of the team's official website, Ramsey had high praise for the rookie.

“He's the truth,” Ramsey said Wednesday at the Pro Bowl.

“I think last year around draft time, I tweeted that he should have been the No. 1 pick. That was nothing to nobody else, but I just thought that he was that good. He came in this year, he did a great job to lead the Ravens to the playoffs. Yeah, that’s my guy.”

It may be a bit surprising to see Ramsey have such high praise for a quarterback. He made headlines prior to the 2018 NFL season for his unfavorable rankings of all the starting quarterbacks in the NFL. However, his admiration is certainly understandable. Jackson had undoubtedly been the most overlooked quarterback in the draft and there was even speculation regarding whether or not he should switch to wide receiver.

Fortunately, Jackson has since managed to silence the critics in spectacular fashion. He took over the offense in place of an injured Joe Flacco in mid-November and the rest is history. The rookie injected some serious firepower into this lackluster offense and was able to lead the Ravens back to the playoffs. Although Jackson's poor showing in the Wild Card Round shows he still far from a finished product, there is no question he has shown more promise than some of the quarterbacks that were selected ahead of him.
