Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been unable to practice all week due to a hip injury. As a result, there is plenty of speculation regarding quarterback Lamar Jackson filling in as the starter on Sunday versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Flacco's inability to log in any type of activity raises serious questions about his status. According to Jay Morrison of The Athletic, there is a good chance Jackson gets the start:

The update certainly comes as a bit of a surprise. Although Flacco has been unable to practice all week due to the injury, head coach John Harbaugh indicated that he does not need any of the sessions if he is healthy enough to play in Week 11. However, it appears he may have no other choice.

Jackson is adamant about how much he has prepared to take over this Ravens' offense. The rookie has never been short of confidence throughout his playing career. There is no reason to believe that would suddenly change now that a potential opportunity has arrived.

It may seem in Flacco's best interest not to rush back before he is ready. However, he may not have much of a choice given how Baltimore's offense has performed recently.

The Ravens are currently in the midst of a three-game skid. A large part of it had to do with the fact that they failed to score more than 23 points during that span. If Jackson were to perform well in his absence, it could very well spell the beginning of the end of Flacco's tenure in Baltimore.
