The Baltimore Ravens have gotten an earlier start to the offseason than they initially planned after being upset by the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional Round. They now have extra time to ponder their list of looming free agents.

Among the notable players set to hit the market is linebacker Matt Judon. Head coach John Harbaugh has admitted that it may be difficult to find a way to bring him back, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Linebacker Matt Judon is at the top of that list and Harbaugh said that he thinks it will be “very hard” to sign him, but “we’re going to try” to get a deal done.

This is hardly an encouraging sign regarding Judon's future in Baltimore. Harbaugh's comments indicate that his time with the team may very well becoming to an end this offseason.

Judon is coming off a stellar performance in the 2019 NFL season with 9.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and 33 quarterback hits. It is safe to say that he will be looking to receive a lucrative payday in a market that is rather generous for pass rushers of his caliber.

Aside from Judon, Baltimore has a number of key defensive starters they are hoping to re-sign such as defensive lineman Michael Pierce, linebacker Patrick Onwuasor, and cornerback Jimmy Smith. As a result, it remains to be seen whether or not his price range will be in the books for the Ravens.

Judon's departure would undoubtedly leave yet another notable void for the Ravens to fill on the edge.
