The Baltimore Ravens have had a disappointing last couple of seasons including last year where they finished with a 9-7 record and missed the playoffs. Even though they missed the playoffs, 9-7 would still get them into the playoffs in most years.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh knows that the playoffs are a must if he wants to continue to be the coach of the team. He is confident that the front office has made the right moves the last few years and brought in the right young guys to be “really good” this season.

“Guys always feel pressure in this league, from a competition standpoint, it doesn’t get any better than the National Football League,” Harbaugh said via Albert Breer of SI.com. “I think we’re going to be really good. I feel great about it…

“Basically the team has been remade. So let’s let these guys play and see how they do—put them out there, coach them up, and see how they do.”

A lot of focus this season will be on Lamar Jackson who will probably be the replacement for Joe Flacco down the road. The Ravens have done a really good job of drafting, and 29 of the 30 draft picks they have used in the last three years are still on the team.

A lot of how well this team still falls on the shoulders of Flacco and he is going to need to have an above average year for this team to make their way back to the playoffs.  Harbaugh has confidence in he and the rest of the team to get the job done.
