Ravens rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson is still trying to adjust to life in the NFL still but John Harbaugh thinks that he had his breakout game on Saturday against the Miami Dolphins.

In Jackson's first three preseason games he struggled with completion percentage only completing 41.9 percent of his throws. Against the Dolphins, however, he looked a lot more comfortable and went 7-10 for 98 yards and a touchdown.

“I think today was his breaking out in a game,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said via ESPN. “We've seen it in practice, where he's done some really good things. We hadn't really seen it in a game yet. Today just kind of fell in place for him a little bit.”

The Ravens coaching staff really focused this week on getting Jackson to complete more passes and it appears the focus paid off, at least for one game. Jackson also stayed in the pocket and completed some tough passes and his speed was on display on the run.

“A lot of people doubt me on that,” Jackson said. “They always say I'm quick to run when I'm outside the pocket. As you can see, that [pass] can happen sometimes.”

The Dolphins game was definitely a step in the right direction for Jackson, who was recently critical of his own performances in preseason.

Jackson is going to be the second or third string depending on if the Ravens decide to keep Robert Griffin III but it's a promising sign that Jackson could be counted on if Flacco was to go down with an injury this year.
