The Baltimore Ravens boast the best running offense in the league by far in the 2019 NFL season. It seems quarterback Lamar Jackson and Mark Ingram are poised to make history.

Both Jackson and Ingram serve as the central force of a Ravens rushing attack that is carving teams for a league-best 204.9 yards per game. They are now poised to each top 1,000 yards on the ground this season, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk:

At the halfway point of the 2019 season, Jackson has 637 rushing yards, putting him on pace for 1,274 yards this season, and Ingram has 585 rushing yards, putting him on pace for 1,170 this season.

They would become just the second pair of teammates to rush for 1,000 yards in the same year since Michael Vick and Warrick Dunn did it for the Atlanta Falcons during the 2006 NFL season. It is safe to say that they are well on their way at this point in the season.

Although Baltimore had already done enough to show that they had a legitimate run game, they solidified that notion with their performance against the New England Patriots. This historic Patriots defense had enjoyed a historic start to the season by not allowing teams to get anything going through the air or the ground, however, that quickly changed in Week 9 when Jackson and Ingram combined for 176 yards and two touchdowns on 3 carries.

While there is still plenty of football left to be played, the Ravens have proven more than capable of running against any team in the league.
