Rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens is making a name for his himself in the short time that he's been under center filling in for veteran Joe Flacco. Not only has Jackson led the team to four wins in the last five games, but he made NFL history during the process.

According to Jamar Hudson of NBC Sports, Jackson has done something that no other quarterback has ever done in five consecutive starts.

On Sunday against the Buccaneers, Jackson had 100 yards rushing going into the fourth quarter. With that, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for at least 70 yards in five straight starts.

The torch appears to have been passed in Baltimore. The team is seemingly moving forward with Jackson as their starter under center, and the move has paid off thus far with the four wins in five games.

Although Jackson isn't the prolific passer that dominates today's game like Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes, the rookie is getting the job done whether it be through the air when needed and on the ground quite often. Obviously, Jackson's tendency to run rather than pass can be risky for a young player at such a crucial position.

However, it would be a different situation if Jackson wasn't leading the team to wins. Jackson has the team rolling and focused on a playoff run. The Ravens are now 8-6 on the season with the postseason being a realistic possibility in the final stretch of the regular season.

Following Week 15's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jackson has 471 yards and three rushing touchdowns on the season.
