Baltimore Ravens sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson continues his historic 2019 season with another feat for the NFL's record books. On Sunday, in the Ravens' Week 16 matchup with the Cleveland Browns, the 22-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner became the only player in league history to tally 3,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards, per NFL Research.

Jackson, selected at the end of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by Baltimore, has seen his profile bloom this year with amazing play and dynamic, dual-threat performances under center. Initially pegged an unorthodox quarterback in the league, Jackson's draft stock fell; but he is proving skeptics dead wrong with his play this season, leading the Ravens to a 12-2 record along with a late lead against Cleveland today.

A University of Louisville product, Jackson previously broke Michael Vick's single-season rushing yards record for a signal-caller.

Entering the weekend's AFC North divisional matchup with the Browns, Jackson had recorded 245 completions for 2,889 passing yards and a league-leading 33 touchdowns. On the ground, he had 1,103 rushing yards already for seven scores.

Jackson has turned into one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the NFL, alongside John Harbaugh's Baltimore offense, which is a speedy and agile group that includes another ex-Heisman winner in Mark Ingram.

Jackson and the Ravens have the opportunity to lock in the No. 1 seed in the AFC, leapfrogging over the vaunted New England Patriots, who they defeated in the regular season already in Week 9.

Jackson's mix of high caliber play and history-breaking performances should earn him MVP this year.
