Lamar Jackson has been incredible for the Baltimore Ravens this NFL season, and there's no question that he's the heavy favorite to win MVP this season. His most recent accomplishment only cements his place as the only worthy player to be selected for the honor.

Clifton Brown of the team's official website revealed that Jackson won the conference offensive player of the week award for the fifth time within the same season. This places him among very elite company for the achievement, further solidifying his claim on the MVP throne this year.

Jackson has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. He joins Tom Brady (2007) and Cam Newton (2015) as the only players to win conference offensive player of the week five times in the same season. Both Brady and Newton won MVP those years.

If Jackson somehow doesn’t win the MVP award after this season, he will be justified in asking, “What else do I have to do?”

Jackson has truly performed like a true superstar in only his second NFL season. He's notched an impressive 33 passing touchdowns in only 2,889 yards this season for the Ravens. What makes him an instant favorite to win is his running game as he's covered 1,103 yards on the ground with seven rushing touchdowns.

Not only is Jackson one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but he's also an elite runner. It will be surprising if he isn't named the MVP this season. He's done more than enough to prove to voters that he deserves their vote.
