Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson won't play in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers after contracting COVID-19.

However, the reigning MVP could suit up in Week 13 versus the Dallas Cowboys assuming he returns a negative COVID-19 test, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The Ravens had a COVID-19 outbreak this week after a staff member broke protocol and put the team at risk. That staff member was punished by the Ravens, but the damage is already done, as Lamar Jackson is out for the Steelers game.

Baltimore is in desperate need of a win and now they'll be facing an undefeated Steelers team without Jackson and a bunch of other starters who contracted COVID-19 as well. After winning the MVP award last season, Jackson's 2020 campaign has been anything but smooth.

The Ravens will likely start former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III against the Steelers. He used to be a superstar in Washington before suffering multiple knee injuries. While it should be fun to see RG3 on the field again, odds are the Ravens will lose to the Steelers, who have one of the best offenses and defenses in the NFL.

Jackson, 23, has thrown for 1,948 yards on the season. He has 15 touchdown passes and six interceptions as well. Baltimore is 6-4 on the season and in second place in the AFC North division.
