Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson thought he was just heading to another interview. Little did the signal-caller know, he was being told that his No. 8 was being retired by Louisville. Just take a look at his awesome reaction. Via ESPN:

It's truly come full circle for Jackson. He's gone from a Heisman Trophy winner to an NFL MVP for the Ravens in just a matter of years, but you can tell he's still grateful for where it all started. Lamar will undoubtedly go down as one of the best players in Cardinals history and you can just see how much it really means to him to see his number lifted into the rafters. He's just the second player to receive the honor aside from Johnny Unitas, who had his number retired in 2003.

Jackson and the Ravens meanwhile are doing their thing this season, despite the fact they're dealing with numerous injuries to key players. The QB has led Baltimore to a 4-1 start, having won four straight after losing in Week 1 to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Lamar Jackson was selected by the Ravens No. 32 overall in 2018 after an epic career at Louisville, throwing for 9,043 yards and 69 touchdowns while also rushing for 4,132 yards and 50 TD's. Enjoy it, Lamar, you earned it.
