Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is enjoying an incredible sophomore campaign, and he is the NFL's MVP frontrunner to boot.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jackson currently has the best odds to take home the league's Most Valuable Player award this season, with Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott rounding out the top five.

Jackson is coming off of a terrific performance in a blowout win over the Houston Texans in which he completed 17 of his 24 throws for 222 yards and four touchdowns while carrying the ball nine times for 86 yards.

On the season overall, Jackson has thrown for 2,258 yards, 19 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 66.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 106.3. In addition, he has rushed for 788 yards and six scores, averaging an NFL-best 6.9 yards per attempt.

The 22-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Louisville, was originally selected by the Ravens in the first round (32nd pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He took over as the starter midway through his rookie year after an injury to Joe Flacco, finishing with 1,201 yards, six touchdowns and three picks while completing 58.2 percent of his throws and registering a passer rating of 84.5 en route to leading the Ravens to an AFC North division title.

However, in spite of his success during his first season, Jackson was criticized by many for his shaky passing game, but it's clear that he worked hard on his passing during the offseason, as he is light years ahead of where he was last season as a quarterback.

Baltimore is 8-2 and is well on its way to winning a second straight division crown.
