Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had not been able to get much practice time heading into Week 5 due to a knee injury. Fortunately, it appears his status for their AFC North matchup versus the Cincinnati Bengals is not in jeopardy.

Jackson had sat out of practice with a knee issue that was followed by an illness designation on the injury report, However, he has clarified any concern regarding his status by getting in a full session on Friday, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic:

Ravens fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Jackson will be good to go despite his absences this week. Although there had initially been some concern regarding the knee and illness that kept him out of practice, it seems to be just a precaution that was taken by the team to ensure that he avoids any potential setbacks.

Had Jackson been forced to sit out, Baltimore would have had to turn to backup quarterback Robert Griffin III, who has already made two appearances this season. Head coach John Harbaugh also has third-string quarterback Trace McSorley to work with at his disposal.

Save for Week 3 versus the Kansas City Chiefs, Jackson is looking like his MVP self so far in the 2020 NFL season. He has put his skill set on full display after throwing for 769 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 68.4 percent of his passes. Meanwhile, his role in the run game remains as prevalent as ever with 235 yards and a touchdown on 6.0 yards per carry.
