Since the Baltimore Ravens decided to move up at the backend of the first round of the NFL Draft to take former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, it raised questions concerning longtime starter Joe Flacco's future.

Jackon got his first chance to take the field with his team in voluntary OTAs on Tuesday participating in passing drills alongside Flacco and veteran quarterback Robert Griffin III.

The Ravens have spoken quite highly of Jackon in the weeks that have followed raving about his willingness to learn along with his ability on the field. Meanwhile, the 20-year-old has indicated that the team plans to use him in various offensive packages behind Flacco in his rookie campaign to maximize his talent.

Jackson is a uniquely talented player that has shown that he can impact the game greatly with his arm and legs that he demonstrated at Louisville by becoming the first player in college football history to record at least 3,500 passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards in back-to-back seasons.

This should open up opportunities for him at the next level to demonstrate why he could be in line to be the eventual long-term solution under center. The questions he has faced about his throwing ability center on his accuracy throwing the ball as he held a career 57.0 percent completion rate while never topping 60 percent in any of his three collegiate seasons.

He was the opportunity to change that narrative at the next level where he should get a chance to show that can be an accurate passer along with his running ability making him a productive dual-threat quarterback that has received many comparisons to former Pro Bowl Michael Vick. Although there is no timetable for when he will see the field, this time in training camp could help him establish a role in the offensive game plan.
