The dominant play of the Baltimore Ravens in recent seasons endeared the team to many of its beloved fans. One of them was young superfan Mo Gaba who made headlines last year when he became the first person to announce an NFL draft pick using a draft card written in Braille. Unfortunately, he recently succumbed to a battle with cancer.

2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson shared his thoughts as reported by Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter:

The 14-year old fan announced the Baltimore Ravens' selection of Oklahoma Sooners guard Ben Powers with the No. 123 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Mo Gaba was also a fan of the Baltimore Orioles competing in Major League Baseball.

Without the support of its young superfan, the Ravens are still looking to carry on and aim to dominate the upcoming season. High expectations are set for the team after Lamar Jackson's MVP run last season, with the majority of the team's core returning for another year.

The Ravens blew out the rest of the competition in the AFC North to clinch the division with an impressive 14-2 record. The Pittsburgh Steelers came in second place with a distant 8-8 record.

However, the surging Ravens were stopped on their tracks by the upstart Tennessee Titans who pulled off an improbable 28-12 upset over the top-seeded team. The 2019 NFL playoffs concluded as another marquee quarterback in Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl crown.

With more experience and cohesiveness as a unit, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are looking to bounce back big time in the upcoming season. The team will begin its 2020 campaign against the Cleveland Browns on September 14 at the M&T Bank Stadium.
