Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson managed to overcome a knee injury in Week 5 to lead his team to a dominant 27-3 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Fortunately, it appears he has since managed to avoid any further setbacks.

Jackson got limited practice time in last week due to the knee issue that was followed by an illness designation on the injury report. However, he has since provided a positive update on his status heading into Week 6 versus the Philadelphia Eagles, per Jeff Zreibec of The Athletic:

“I'm good. I'm way better than I was last week (physically).”

It is certainly encouraging to see that Jackson has made progress from the knee injury that had hindered him in practice last week. His improving health bodes well that he can remain under center for the duration of the 2020 NFL season.

It is no secret that the Ravens' offense has struggled to establish a rhythm so far the year. Their performance has been a far cry from the historic rushing attack that Jackson led during the 2019 campaign. Head coach John Harbaugh is hoping that his recent progress helps to get this group back on track.

Baltimore can take solace in the fact that their defense has been one of the most stout groups in the NFL so far this season. Their dominant play has helped alleviate most of the pressure from the struggling offense.

A favorable matchup against a generous Eagles' defense could be just what Jackson and the Ravens' offense needs to get this group going.
