Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback Lamar Jackson is not confident his team's dominant offense on display in Thursday's preseason win over the Jacksonville Jaguars is “close” to how it will really look in the regular season.

Despite dominating Jaguars last night, 29-0, Jackson told the media that the Ravens didn't show “anything,” alluding to a huge difference in play style between now and Week 1 on September 8.

Here's what Jackson, 22, had to say about what fans could expect from the offense, per WNST.net's Luke Jones.

“Oh, not close at all. We ran like a couple plays a lot. We really didn't show anything at all,” he said of Baltimore's offense in its exhibition debut. “It's going to be fun to watch though.”

The second-year quarterback appeared in only three sequences for the Ravens in Thursday's blowout victory. He led two scoring drives in the three times he was under center, all in the first quarter, completing 4-of-6 passes for 59 yards, one passing touchdown, and no interceptions (although one pass was nearly taken away).

Jackson will have the 2019 season all to himself as the shot-caller following last year's midseason replacement for then-injured franchise quarterback Joe Flacco. After the former Super Bowl MVP went down, Jackson took over in Week 11, proving to be a worthy successor as he led the Ravens to a 6-1 record in the final seven weeks of regular season play.

The Ravens, along with Jackson, likely won't pull out all of their tricks in the preseason, however. As the University of Louisville product implicitly mentioned, even in the large-scale victory over Jacksonville, the preseason is just to get the kinks out without showing your hand too much before real competition begins.
