In what many wouldn't find as a surprising move, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won the Most Valuable Player award after having one of the most impressive breakout seasons in recent memory. With the way he played against his opponents in the regular season, his name was already etched on the trophy long before the Ravens were maimed by the Tennessee Titans in the divisional rounds.

Jackson was happy that his season at least ended on a high note, and he had choices words to offers to his critics after his MVP season.

Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN:

“There's been a lot of doubt going on, you know, me being a running back (or) a receiver. That came when I got to the league. I got a great organization with me … those guys all believed in me and my mother, the bread and butter.”

It was a fantastic display of football that hasn't been seen for a good while. He finished the year with 3127 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, 1206 rushing yards, and seven rushing touchdowns. His dynamism as a quarterback was what made him the perfect fit for a Ravens offense that needed a bit of both.

Now that he's won the MVP in his second year in the league, his priorities are going to change moving forward. Against the Titans, he managed to notch 365 passing yards but only managed to get one passing touchdown. His rushing was also great at 143 yards, but the defense managed to put a lid on his performances.

Lamar Jackson's next quest will be for the Super Bowl, and he'll be doing everything he can next year to make sure that happens.
