After several days of COVID-19 controversies and complications within the Baltimore Ravens' internal sphere of operations, it was revealed Thursday evening that quarterback Lamar Jackson has tested positive for COVID-19.

A Ravens team employee had violated COVID-19 protocols earlier in the week, leading to discipline from the NFL.

The Ravens' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, originally scheduled for Thursday night, was moved to Sunday afternoon, with NBC retaining the rights to the broadcast and forming a Sunday doubleheader for the network, alongside the Sunday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.

Plenty of NFL fans around the country think the Ravens should have been made to forfeit the game against the Steelers for not following the rules on such an important matter. Now, with Lamar Jackson — the 2019 NFL MVP — testing positive for COVID-19, Baltimore is very much at risk of going into the Pittsburgh game without its franchise quarterback, which would be tantamount to a forfeit against the last unbeaten team in the NFL.

We will wait in the coming days for more information on both Lamar Jackson's condition and testing status, and on the fate of the Ravens-Steelers game. ClutchPoints will keep you posted.
