The Baltimore Ravens had a rough day against the Cleveland Browns. They struggled throughout the first half and choked in the final minutes of the game. However, the team took another injury-hit, as Lamar Jackson left the game early due to an ankle injury.

According to Dianna Russini, John Harbaugh claims that Lamar Jackson has sustained an ankle sprain. This is good news for the Ravens, as the injury could be much worse. He’ll have the entire week to rest his ankle and if everything goes right, Jackson could still take the field in Week 15.

This is the best-case scenario for the Ravens right now. It’s never a good thing to have your star player injured, but it could have been much worse. Baltimore is set to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 15, which will be a tough matchup regardless of Jackson’s availability.

Even so, Baltimore will do everything to make sure Jackson is healthy and good to go. Sunday’s loss to the Browns doesn’t help, but the Ravens are still atop the AFC North pending the result of the Cincinnati Bengals’ game.

With the AFC North being such a tight race, the Ravens will want Lamar Jackson back under center as soon as possible. Of course, they need to be careful, as they don’t want to make the injury worse. Considering Jackson uses his legs so often, an ankle injury could be enough to alter his playstyle altogether.

We’ll see what happens, but the Ravens will do everything that Jackson requires. Keep an eye on him and Baltimore, as his playing status will be up in the air throughout the week.
