Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters was traded by the Los Angeles Rams over a month ago and some players might be extra motivated to face his old team, but it's not something that is getting him extra pumped up.

“I don’t need no motivation from nobody else,” Peters said via the LA Times. “I’m motivated enough for me to take care of my family.”

Peters has been knocked during his career for his man to man coverage but is an elite zone corner. The Ravens have done a good job of playing him in a system that takes advantage of his strengths and doesn't get him burned by his weakness.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh has been impressed with how quickly Peters has picked up the defense and been an impact player.

“He’s really accommodated himself to playing the style of defense that we want to play in the back end,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. “The way we play our techniques and our coverages, the way we relate to routes in both man and zone coverages, he’s really smart. He picks it up just like that. He understands the value of working hard at the fundamentals and technique and working together back there, and he’s just been seamless. That’s probably the part I appreciate the most.”

It will be interesting to see how well Peters does against his old team, but it would be fitting if he could get an interception or two. Rams quarterback Jared Goff has thrown 10 interceptions this year so Peters should have some chances.
