The Baltimore Ravens were without star quarterback Lamar Jackson for Week 15's matchup against the Green Bay Packers. But his absence didn't prevent a key receiving threat from setting a franchise record during the game. Ravens star tight end Mark Andrews had a huge game on Sunday afternoon, seeing his season tally in receiving yards surpass the 1,000-yard threshold. Per The Ravens Wire, this is the first time a Baltimore Ravens tight end has achieved that feat.

Andrews' 1,000-yard season makes him the first tight end in Ravens' history to reach that mark, meaning the budding star has accomplished something that not even legendary tight end Shannon Sharpe could muster during his tenure in Baltimore.

The 26-year-old entered the matchup against Green Bay with 926 receiving yards on the season and was coming off a huge 118-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Browns in Week 14. He followed that up with an even bigger outing against the Packers on Sunday, and brought his season total well over 1,000 in terms of receiving yards.

Sharpe, one of the most prolific tight ends in NFL history, only played two seasons in Baltimore, but even a player of his caliber failed to record 1,000 receiving yards during his time with the franchise. He maxed out at 811 yards during his second season with the Ravens. Sharpe had more than 1,000 receiving yards in three seasons with the Broncos, though his best season in that category came in 1997 when he had 1,107 yards, a figure Andrews looks destined to shatter this season.

Andrews has gotten off to a blistering start to his NFL career, quickly emerging as one of the most reliable receiving options at the position. Across 58 games in his career, entering Week 15, Andrews had recorded 231 receptions for 3,031 yards and 26 touchdowns.
