Despite leading the league in rushing yards in the 2019 campaign, the Baltimore Ravens still selected another running back in JK Dobbins with the 55th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Nevertheless, in an interview with NFL Network Thursday, Ravens Pro Bowl running back Mark Ingram explained that he’s happy to make room for Dobbins in a backfield that also includes Justice Hill and Gus Edwards.

“I like his mindset, I like his attitude, I like the way he runs the ball. Just bring him and his talents to our room that’s already special; our backfield is gonna be the best in the league for sure,” Ingram said. “We’re all looking forward to it, being playmakers for the team and help us win the championship.”

This past season, the Ravens rush game absolutely destroyed the league while breaking multiple NFL records. They set an NFL single-season record with 3,296 rushing yards, breaking a mark that had stood for 41 years. Additionally, they had two players who rushed for over 1,000 yards.

During Dobbins's junior season at Ohio State, he recorded 2,003 rushing yards and an impressive 23 touchdowns in 14 games. Even if the Ravens don't utilize him this upcoming season, he'll still be a solid option in case one of their other running backs does get injured. However, offensive coordinator Greg Roman is planning to get creative with ways to use all four running backs.

“I would equate it to us last year having the tight ends that we had – the three tight ends,” DeCosta said, via the Ravens’ website.
