Baltimore Ravens offensive specialist Marty Mornhinweg apparently has a genius plan for the team moving forward. That's the good news. The bad? It seems rather generic and without any actual plan going behind its genius.

I am kidding. It makes sense when you expound upon what he meant. Context is important and all that jazz.

“We always want to be aggressive,” Mornhinweg said, via the Baltimore Sun. “Look, there’s been a few times when we’ve tried to be aggressive, and it’s blown up on us. And there’s been other times when we’ve tried to be aggressive and then we’re up by two or three scores. So we need to be more consistently aggressive and be aggressive in a real smart way.”

Yes, Marty Mornhinweg, being aggressive in a smart way is an ideal plan.

Jokes aside, I understand what he is trying to say. He doesn't want Baltimore's offense to go the check-down route, or becoming one of those super safe offenses. He wants the Ravens to continue to take risks here and there, but with some caution hopefully being attached to the players tasked with converting those aggressive plays.

Somehow, through magic, the Ravens still have a chance to make the playoffs. While not a single person outside Balitmore believes the team to be good, everyone remembers what happens when a “bluh” Ravens team made the Super Bowl a few years back.

Just get in the playoffs. Let thinks shakeout. You never know what actually-not-that-good team might make a run deep in it.
