Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano thinks his defense can keep Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in check.

Jackson is one of the most explosive dual-threat quarterbacks in the league, a game-breaker capable of busting a huge run at a moment's notice. The Ravens quarterback rushed for 1,005 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.

However, Milano and the Bills are feeling confident as they enter an AFC Divisional Round showdown with the Ravens:

ā€œWeā€™re pretty confident in being able to contain him,ā€ Milano said Thursday, via Matt Parrino of nyup.com.

Buffalo's defense made a number of impact plays in the final few games of the regular season.

The Bills held opposing offenses to under 300 yards in three consecutive games between Week 14 and Week 16. Buffalo gave up 454 yards of total offense to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17, but also forced four turnovers in a 56-26 drubbing.

However, Buffalo's defense was ripped by the Indianapolis Colts' running game in last weekend's Wild Card matchup. The Colts gained 163 yards on 30 carries, with Nyheim Hines breaking off multiple big runs on draw plays in the second half to help send the game down to the wire.

Indy's success with run-pass option could bode well for Jackson and the Ravens. That said, the Tennessee Titans actually did a good job of limiting Jackson on designed runs. The reigning NFL MVP had more success scrambling away from pressure and avoiding tacklers at the second level.

Milano himself will be a key figure in spying Jackson, particularly when he drops back to throw. If Buffalo can shut down Baltimore's running game and avoid Jackson making big plays with his legs, the Bills should give themselves every chance to win. The weather could also play a factor in this game, so that will be something tow watch.
