After being released by the Oakland Raiders, veteran wide receiver Michael Crabtree's future in the NFL was uncertain. That uncertainty didn't last long with the Baltimore Ravens jumping at the opportunity to offer the 30-year-old a three-year deal to be their new go-to receiver.

Crabtree promptly signed the long-term deal with the Ravens and already seems to be making an impression with his new team. The Texas Tech product was Derek Carr's favorite end-zone target in Oakland now may quickly turn into Joe Flacco's in Baltimore, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

The Ravens headed into this NFL offseason with the goal of revamping and drastically improving their offense. The quarterback position has been something the team's brass has addressed with the addition of Robert Griffin III and rookie Lamar Jackson behind Flacco, but it was the receiving corps that may have taken the biggest steps in the right direction.

Along with signing Crabtree to a long-term deal, the Ravens also brought in Willie Snead formerly of the New Orleans Saints and former Arizona Cardinals wideout John Brown. Baltimore may have become a force to be reckoned with in the passing game as they try to end their playoff drought and compete with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.

In his last season with the Raiders, Crabtree wrapped up his three-year stint in Oakland catching 58 passes for 618 yards and eight touchdowns. The veteran wideout played 14 games in 2017 and will be a welcome addition to the Ravens' new offensive game plan in Baltimore.
