Heading into the Week 13 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, the Baltimore Ravens have questions concerning what decision they will make at the quarterback position.

According to Mike Garafolo of The NFL Network,  the Ravens are leaning toward giving Jackson his first third straight start in place of Joe Flacco if he remains not cleared medically to make his return to the field.

Jackson has been effective in his first two starts with the Ravens helping guide them to wins in each contest while proving to be a dual-threat factor with both his arm and legs. He has found most of his success with 190 rushing yards on 37 attempts along with completing 27 of 44 passes for 228 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. His 190 rushing yards are the most by a quarterback in his two starts in league history during the Super Bowl Era.

Despite three interceptions, Jackson has shown plenty of comfort running the offense as he has provided the team with another dynamic behind the use of his legs. It has also seen the emergence of his running back Gus Edwards over the last two games as he has posted back-to-back 100 rushing yard performance. This provided a sudden spark to the team that had been lacking over the last few weeks prior to the 21-year-old taking under center.

This is a situation that may see some clarity once Flacco's health issues get sorted out over the next couple of days as there is no certainty at this point that he will be able to get back on the practice field. If he's unable to do so, the job will clearly be Jackson's for at least another week. However, if he is able to get back onto the field, it makes the entire matter murky as it presents a more tough call for head coach John Harbaugh.
