Poor Joe Flacco. The Baltimore Ravens gunslinger has spent his time being injured being used as a talking-point for those who want to talk about quarterbacks who don't slide early enough. Also, poor Joe Flacco for not being as “elite” as he once supposedly was.

Anyway, following what many considered a dirty hit, in which Joe Flacco ended up concussed, it appears as though there's a silver lining in this otherwise gloomy cloud. Flacco is now listed as questionable heading into the weekend, but the Ravens fully expect him to play in Week 9.

This is big news for a Baltimore team that is ravaged by health concerns.

The Ravens actually list 11 other players as questionable,  including wide receivers Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) and Mike Wallace (back).

Those are the big name offensive guys. What about some of the other talent?

The others are tight end Nick Boyle (toe), center Ryan Jensen (shoulder), tight end Vince Mayle (concussion), cornerback Jimmy Smith (Achilles), defensive tackle Michael Pierce (illness), offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley (shoulder), safety Lardarius Webb (concussion), tight end Maxx Williams (ankle) and linebacker Tim Williams (thigh).

My goodness.

But wait … there's more. There's always more!

Baltimore has already ruled out Michael Campanaro (shoulder), safety Chuck Clark (thigh) and running back Terrance West (calf).

For some clarification, as I list off all these injuries and while it certainly seems like a lot, most teams in the National Football League are dealing with a similar situation. The NFL is an inherently violent sport. Players are going to end up being hurt and on these medical lists.

As for the Ravens, Joe Flacco is (presumed to be) back!
