Los Angeles Chargers' quarterback Philip Rivers has never been known for his ability to escape from the product and run for extra yards. Ironically, in Saturday night's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, their scrambling quarterback Lamar Jackson in his first year has more rushing yards than Rivers has had in his whole career.

Per NFL Research Media:

The Ravens are 8-6 on the season and rank first in the AFC North division under head coach John Harbaugh. They are ranked 13th in the NFL in points scored averaging 24.4 points per game. However, their defense is what wins them football games, only allowing 18.1 points per game. This ranks first in the entire league.

Nine games into the season, Ravens' longtime quarterback Joe Flacco has been out with a right hip injury. This has given Jackson the opportunity to run the Raven's offense, and he's done an excellent job doing so. Though he's only thrown for 818 yards with 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in five starts, his ability to run the ball makes him so valuable for the Ravens.

The Chargers are 11-3 on the season and are first in the AFC West Division under head coach Anthony Flynn. They score 28.2 points per game., making them one of the league's best offenses. This ranks 4th in the entire league. Their defense is also fairly decent. They only allow 21.3 points per game, nearly a full touchdown differential in points scored to points allowed. This ranks 9th in the entire NFL.

Veteran quarterback Philip Rivers is having another great season and seems revitalized in his age 37 season. He's thrown for 3,961 yards with 31 touchdowns and only eight interceptions.

The Chargers will face off against the Baltimore Ravens Saturday evening at home in Week 16.
