The Baltimore Ravens were one of the most dominant and entertaining teams in the 2019 NFL season, but their playoff hopes were dashed by an unlikely foe – the upstart Tennessee Titans, who bested them quite handily 28-12 in the Wild Card round of the AFC playoffs.

Now, former Ravens superstar and two-time Super Bowl champion Ray Lewis has chimed in with what the Ravens defense should focus on were they to face the Titans in the playoffs again: Derrick Henry, running back for Tennessee.

“If I'm anybody that's playing linebacker right now, I'm saying, ‘Listen here man, Derrick Henry got to deal with me,'” Lewis said on a recent episode of The Lounge Podcast. “That's a personal thing for me. I don't like the way it went down and I got to see him. I'm going to dedicate this whole offseason to the person that ended my dreams. That's what we did with (Tom) Brady. Prepare ourselves enough to get me back to that one position and lock that door and throw away the key. You ain't getting out of here this time. It's the process of never getting comfortable with losing.”

Indeed, despite a staggering game from young Ravens superstar (and reigning MVP) Lamar Jackson – 365 passing yards, 143 rushing yards – Derrick Henry was the clear star of the game, as he piled up 195 rushing yards and helped his keep control of the ground game.

Lewis knows a thing or two about dominating games, as he was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2000 and is the all-time leader in Ravens history with 223 Approximate Value.
