Former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson has received a lot of praise since his selection by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of this year's NFL Draft.

Former NFL running back Reggie Bush is the latest to speak highly of Jackson. During an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show on Friday morning, Bush stated that he believes Jackson has limitless potential if he can work on being a smarter runner and better passer in the pocket.

“I think skies are the limits. Obviously, he has the athleticism that jumps out at you right away. If he can mature into a pocket passer, that's dangerous because you match that athleticism with him along with being that pocket passer. For quarterbacks who are that athletic and can take off and run at the professional level, it's only a matter of time before you get injured.

“You look at Caron Wentz. As great of a season as he was having, it only took that one time that he took off and ran and he was out for the rest of the season. I thought Russell Wilson does a great job because he gets down. If Lamar Jackson can learn that aspect of running to live to fight another day, then learn to become a really, really mature pocket passer, he's going to be special.”

Throughout his collegiate career, Jackson displayed a unique ability to highly impact the game with both his arm and legs. This made him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses given that he could put on huge performances with either aspect of his skill-set.

However, there have been questions about Jackson's throwing ability, as he has struggled with his accuracy.

These comments by Bush also point out that Jackson does need to show more improvement in his ability to throw accurately from the pocket to be a more effective quarterback while limiting his reliance on running.

There have been many quarterbacks prior to him who were able to run effectively, such as Michael Vick, Vince Young, Tim Tebow, and Robert Griffin III, but either injuries or their inability to throw the ball with accuracy kept them from reaching their full potential.

Jackson has a chance to change the narrative and perception running quarterbacks with his skill set by becoming a true dual-threat under center.
