The Baltimore Ravens decimated the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 49-13 on Sunday, and during the win, Lamar Jackson completed 15 of his 17 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns while also carrying the ball seven times for 65 yards and a score.

On Monday morning, ESPN analyst and former NFL head coach Rex Ryan called Jackson the most special player he has ever seen:

Jackson is certainly as unique as they come.

On the season, the second-year quarterback has thrown for 2,036 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 65.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 101.7. In addition, he has rushed for 702 yards and six scores while averaging an NFL-best 6.6 yards per carry.

The 22-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Louisville, was originally selected by the Ravens in the first round (32nd pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Jackson began his NFL career playing behind Joe Flacco, but a midseason injury to Flacco forced Jackson into the starting role under center last year. He went on to lead Baltimore to the playoffs, throwing for 1,201 yards, six touchdowns and three picks while completing 58.2 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 84.5. He also racked up 695 yards and five scores on the ground.

Now, Jackson is an MVP candidate halfway through his second NFL season.

This kid is special, indeed.

Baltimore improved to 7-2 with its win over the Bengals and holds a two-game lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North. The Ravens will take on the Houston Texans next Sunday.
