Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin was the third-string quarterback for most of the year but he would still like to be with the team next year. Griffin said that he feels like he has a good grasp on what the team wants to do and thinks he can be a help to the team.

“I’d love to be back. I feel like I have a good grasp of what this team is trying to do,” Griffin said per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. “I’d love to help Lamar continue to develop and also be available and ready to play. The question is, Is that going to happen? I don’t know. Are there going to be other opportunities for me around the league? I don’t know. We’ll see what happens but I’d love to be back.”

At one point Griffin looked to be the best next young quarterback but injuries derailed his career and he had actually been out of the league before signing with the Ravens. John Harbaugh hasn't been known to keep three quarterbacks so it was a bit of a surprise when Griffin made the team but he has been a big help for Lamar Jackson. Back in December Griffin said how much he is enjoying his time with the Ravens and how special this chance was for him.

“It’s been special because I was not guaranteed a roster spot at the beginning of the year. I had a non-guaranteed contract, a minimal signing bonus and I had to earn it every step of the way,” Griffin said via YardBarker.

Bringing back Griffin seems like it would make a lot of sense. Jackson and Griffin play a similar style of offense and so if Jackson was to get hurt the team wouldn't have to change the offense because Griffin could come in and run the previous offense.

If Flacco was to come back and be backup or someone that plays his style of quarterback they would have to change the entire offense for him.
