Heading into his 16th year in the league, Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs has been still performing at an elite level at this point of his career.

There hasn't been any wavering of his commitment to continue playing that has drawn questions about his long-term future with the franchise as he's in the final year of his four-year, $20.7 million deal that has him on track to potentially hit the free-agent market in 2019. According to Childs Walker of The Baltimore Sun, Suggs has voiced no concern with his contract situation.

“I’ve always crossed that bridge when it happened,” he said. “I’ve never been one to jump into that topic before it was time. So I’m not going to worry about it now. There’s something more important that’s at stake right now.”

Given the point of the career that Suggs is currently in, this could likely be the last contract of his career that could dictate how many more years that he's willing to commit to playing. It is a situation that both sides may wait until next offseason to work out a new contract with the team determining whether he will still be a valuable asset to the defense.

Suggs had certainly put that on display this past season that saw him finish tied for 11th in the league with 11.0 sacks, which marked the third time in the last four years that he has recorded double-digit sacks. This was also the seventh time in his career that he has reached that mark.

More importantly, it has added to what has become a Hall of Fame-worthy career that has he has established himself as one of the premier pass rushers.

With both sides not expressing any concern or conflict about Suggs' current contract likely means it's something that will be worked out at what is deemed the appropriate time.
