Jeremy Maclin is now a National Football League free agent.

According to an Adam Schefter of ESPN source, the Baltimore Ravens are cutting ties with Maclin, the eight-year veteran of the league.

Maclin, 29, is most known for his time in Philadelphia with the Eagles. From 2009 through 2014, Maclin caught 343 balls for 4,771 yards and 36 scores, posting a solid 13.9 yards per reception mark while picking up his lone Pro Bowl nod in 2014.

After two average seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Ravens took a chance on him last offseason. In only 12 games, Maclin finished with just 440 yards and three touchdowns on 40 receptions.

The Missouri product was drafted 19th overall by Andy Reid's Eagles during the 2009 NFL Draft. As a whole, Maclin's been a solid receiver, twice landing within the NFL Network's Top 100 (No. 61 in 2015 and No. 93 in 2016), but recently, injuries and age have caught up with the veteran.

NFL free agency officially opens up later on Wednesday afternoon.
